Arrived on time, but the delivery person is a dolt. They left it on its side in the sun on a hot day - not very bright. It came with an instruction packet with FAQ and very descriptive instructions. I used it on a bottle cap table to level out the surface. After gluing the bottle caps down with super glue, (I should have used another type of glue that did not leave any air under the caps. more on that later), I left the glue dry and do its thing.Mixing the resin took about 5-6 minutes to completely combine the two parts. Yes, there were a few air bubbles in the mixture, but them being 100% combined was more important. I transferred it to another container to mix right before pouring to make sure they were fully combined. When I poured it over the table (I used a panel door to make the table, so the recesses were already there), there was just enough to cover the 4 bottle cap areas. (I mixed it in 4 batches, 1 per area). The time delay between each area allowed me time to mix each batch, pour into the area, let it self-level, and use a blow dryer on low heat to remove bubbles from the previous area. Yes, there were a bunch of bubbles. most of the air was coming from under the bottle caps and not surprisingly, the heat from the blow dryer caused more air to expand and rise to the surface. It was a vicious cycle. My advice for next time is to use hot glue in addition to the super glue to secure the caps and get rid of the air. It started to cure (become tacky) after about 20 minutes. Since my table was level and my house was warm (78 degrees F), it started curing quickly with no issues. After sitting overnight it was hard to the touch and clear as crystal. Beautiful.Absolutely NO fumes of smell. Great product just requires user confidence and intelligence to use properly.I am seldom moved to write reviews, but, this is a great product! It arrived very quickly, I think it was only two days, and very meticulously packaged. It was super-easy to mix the two parts in a 1:1 ratio in an old glass bowl with a paint brush. I mixed in small batches for my own ease since it was my first time using. I used about 2/3 of the product (it goes a long way depending how thick you apply) to create a glass-like surface on my ugly old kitchen countertops. I used it over the top of a coat of faux-stone spray paint which I used to disguise the ugly old vinyl. Now with the glassy finish over the faux stone...voila! "Granite"! Everyone who has looked at my counters thinks I bought new ones and it ended up costing me under $100 to get this look, which included the spray paint I used, the paint brush and this awesome product! It dried to the touch in just a few hours and there was very little odor. I turned off the air conditioning in the house so it could cure between 70-80 degrees for a few days and went on vacation. When I returned in five days my countertops were perfect and ready to have everything put back on them. Now they are soooo easy to clean up with a squirt of cleaner and a paper towel and they look amazing. I'm saving the excess to use for touch-ups because I have read that you can just paint a thin layer over the old product to re-gloss if they get scuffed up over time. Buy this stuff-it's awesome!!I used this to cover a custom floor I created in my kitchen - works great and dried incredibly fast! Just make sure you go to the FGCI website and follow the directions EXACTLY when it comes to mixing and stirring, because it's a little different that what it says on the bottle and it you follow it - pure perfection. This stuff is hard as rock, looks and feels like glass (only clearer almost like crystal or water - its perfectly clear!). I didn't have any problems with bubbling and I didn't use a heat gun, I just made sure my house was 73 degrees (tolerable) and left my kitchen lights on to make it a little bit hotter. This stuff is self-leveling but because it spread so slow, I helped it spread with a squeedgie / rubber trough and it still self-leveled. My floor was good to walk on in 24 hours, but that's because I did a very thin layer (not the thick layer that would go on a tabletop, like suggested on the packaging). LOVE THIS STUFF!!!Great product. Easy to mix and use. It is difficult to get all of the bubbles out of the epoxy before it sets. The epoxy does cure to a gorgeous, mirror finish. I have been disappointed that even though we waited several days past the curing time to put things on the counter, heavy items placed on the counter will leave dents. The dents do seem to fill themselves back in within a day or two. Very easy to repair. If a repair is needed, all you have to do is sand the damaged area and re-pour new epoxy.I built a table top using a slice of a maple tree I cut down from my yard. The top was a very large piece, with beautiful wood grain. I did a lot of research on different resin kits before I made this purchase. I also watched a few videos online on the proper way to mix and apply this product. It made a Huge difference. If you follow the directions properly, your project will come out looking beautiful. I applied three coats, and my final project has an thick mirror finish, which is hard as nails. I will use this product again.I bought this resin with the intention of having an extremely durable and porofessional looking tabletop, however, after two months this product has yet to dry. I made a bar with a bottle cap top and I was going to pour this resin on top to give it a professional look. I went on to the companies website, watched the DIY video and followed the mixing directions exactly. All was going well, it went on smoothly and did self level. It started to bubble indicating that it was curing, I used a heat gun to pop the bubbles then I left it for 24 hours to set up. There were areas at we're still tacky, I looked it up and it said it could take 72 hours. I thought ok, I'll wait some more. After the 72 hours it was patchy, some of the tabletop was wet and some tacky... Still 2 months later it is still like this! The project is ruined and the bar is a waste... Don't waste your money on this brand of resin!
